Functional Academics (FA) Team at Cheatham Elementary Recognized for Preparing Students for Lifelong Success
At Cheatham Elementary, the Functional Academics team is creating a structured, supportive environment where students feel safe, confident, and ready to learn. The team is comprised of Sara Lindstrom, Cady Wilhelmsen, Toni Cook, Vickie Wing, Cheryl Reed, Torrance Reed, and Nancy Long. Through intentional instruction, strong routines, and deep collaboration, they equip students with essential life and academic skills. Their unwavering dedication ensures students are prepared not only for their next educational steps, but for a successful future beyond the classroom.

Expanding Student Opportunities Through Musical Theater at Norton Elementary
At Norton Elementary, Pam Meis, Molly Unverzagt, Karen Szeryk, Lindsey Cipoletta, Marissa Jaquez, and Kathy Blahitka, have transformed a vision into a thriving musical theater program. By launching the campus’s first-ever school musical and building on its success, they have created meaningful opportunities for students to act, sing, dance, design sets, and even manage lighting. Their work is cultivating creativity, collaboration, and confidence in students while inspiring continued participation in the arts at the secondary level.
