AHS student looks through a transet during Engineering Day with expert helping

Career and Technical Education students from Allen High School recently participated in Engineering Day at Collin College’s Technical Campus. The event offered hands-on experiences at industry-led stations and provided opportunities to explore future education and workforce pathways.

Throughout the day, students rotated through seven interactive stations hosted by local companies and organizations. These included Braun Intertec, CEC, Flexlink, White Hawk Engineering, and the City of Allen Engineering department. Each station offered students insight into real-world engineering tasks and workplace environments.

In addition to industry partners, representatives from Texas State University, Texas A&M University, University of Texas at Dallas, and Collin College were on hand to speak with students about higher education opportunities in STEM and technical fields. The university participants engaged students in discussions about academic programs, campus life, and what to expect as future engineering majors.

Student rotations were facilitated by Allen Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors, who guided small groups between sessions and encouraged thoughtful dialogue around career planning, technical education, and professional development.

Thank you to all participating companies, college partners, and community organizations for making this event a success: Braun Intertec, CEC, Flexlink, White Hawk Engineering, City of Allen Engineering, Texas State University, Texas A&M University, University of Texas at Dallas, Collin College, Allen Chamber of Commerce, Allen Economic Development Corporation, and Credit Union of Texas.
