The Silver Eagles recently gathered at an Allen High School softball game, where member Nancy Havens had the honor of throwing out the ceremonial first pitch. Her pitch set an energetic tone for the matchup between Allen and Princeton High School.
Following the ceremonial start, Allen delivered a strong offensive performance against Princeton. The team recorded 10 hits and 18 runs over the course of the game, capitalizing on consistent contact at the plate and aggressive baserunning. Multiple players contributed to the scoring effort, with several recording multi-hit games and driving in runs to build momentum early.
Allen’s lineup showed depth throughout the game, combining timely hitting with disciplined at-bats. The team also drew multiple walks, helping sustain rallies and extend innings. Defensively, Allen maintained control and limited scoring opportunities for Princeton.
The event highlighted the ongoing connection between Allen ISD and its community members, particularly those involved in the Silver Eagles program. The game served as both a competitive athletic event and a moment of recognition for the district’s engaged senior residents.
